Private lessons are intimate journeys we travel together. When students first come to me, most are unaware of the harmful habits they have accumulated throughout their lives. During each lesson, I give verbal instruction and gentle “hands-on” guidance. Using a delicate touch, I sense and suggest subtle shifts in my students’ bodies, guiding them toward freer, more dynamic alignment. Gradually, we work to eliminate damaging habits and learn new patterns that allow us to accomplish daily activities with less pain, increased mobility, and healthy breathing. As I help to unlock my student’s breath, pain recedes and creativity is sparked.
Lessons are geared toward the individual needs of each student and last 45 minutes. I teach at my studio in Union Square. I usually recommend committing to a minimum of three months of weekly lessons to effect observable, lasting changes.
